What Is Your ODM Hardware Customization Process?

Allele Cypert provides OEM/ODM services ranging from customized motherboards and chassis to barebone systems and complete turnkey hardware solutions. We support commercial, medical, pharmaceutical, industrial automation, and other specialized applications.
Our ODM process typically includes:
1. Design Input & Requirement Review
Customers provide their application requirements, including performance, CPU platform, display size, I/O configuration, mechanical dimensions, operating environment, certifications, security requirements, and expected product lifecycle.
2. Technical Evaluation & NRE Proposal
Our engineering team reviews the project scope and determines the required hardware, mechanical, BIOS, firmware, or software modifications. For projects requiring new development, customization, tooling, or engineering resources, an NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) cost may apply.
3. Design Proposal & Sample Development
After specifications are confirmed, we prepare a technical proposal and develop engineering samples or prototypes for customer evaluation.
4. Testing & Validation
Samples can be tested against agreed project requirements, including functional testing, compatibility testing, reliability testing, and application-specific validation. Additional certification testing can also be discussed based on the target market.
5. Sample Approval & Production
Once the sample and specifications are approved, the project moves to production planning. MOQ requirements depend on the level of customization, components, tooling, and production requirements.
6. Production & Delivery Schedule
Project timelines vary according to design complexity and component availability. The overall schedule may include engineering development, sample production, customer validation, certification, and mass production.
From initial concept to production, we work with customers to define a practical and scalable hardware solution. Contact us with your project requirements, and our team will respond within 24 hours to discuss feasibility, customization options, estimated development requirements, and the next steps.
